About Danica...

I teach strength, stillness, and self-resurrection. Not from theory — from lived experience. Everything you’ll find inside Om Strong was built from the trenches of my own life: grief, discipline, movement, breath, and the kind of inner work that rebuilds a human from the ground up. This is my path — and now, it’s a path we walk together.

About the Founder

The truth behind Om Strong.

I didn’t build my strength in a studio.

I built it in the trenches.

My name is Danica Kennedy — founder of the Om Strong Collective, movement teacher, grief warrior, and a woman who rebuilt her life through discipline, presence, and deep inner work.

Before I ever taught online, I spent 15 years on the gym floor as a face-to-face personal trainer, working with real bodies, real injuries, and the full spectrum of human resilience. I’ve held people through recoveries, breakdowns, breakthroughs, burnout, grief and rebirth. And I’ve walked those chapters myself — broken bones, injuries, hormonal shutdowns, and the loss of loved ones.

I also spent 15 years in corporate, understanding pressure, structure, strategy and the weight of a life that doesn’t always align with your soul. Those years shaped my ability to lead, to hold space, to build systems, and to help others build lives that actually feel like theirs.

Alongside strength training, I became a Reiki Master/Teacher, a meditation and breathwork coach, a plant medicine facilitator, a cold-water therapy advocate, and a business & life coach.
Not for the certificates — but because these tools saved me. I used them to stay grounded, to heal, to feel, to evolve.

When my dad died by suicide, everything in my life cracked open.
I didn’t run from the pain — I ran toward it.
I applied for SAS: Who Dares Wins as an act of truth. Out of 10,000 applicants, I was selected as one of 20. The experience was brutal and spiritual in equal measure — torture simulations, jungle warfare, psychological collapse, ego death, total presence. It stripped me bare and rebuilt me in the most honest way possible.

Not long after, I moved into a van with my dog and soulmate, Roxy, and travelled through 16 countries together. She was my anchor, my companion, my teacher. We lived wild, free, and close to the earth — from European mountains to ocean cliffs. When she passed away recently, my whole world shifted.

Since then, I’ve been navigating nomadic life alone through India, Bali and Thailand — deepening my understanding of myself, my grief, my purpose, and the truth of what it means to live awake.
Every country has broken something open.
Every chapter has revealed more of who I am.

And now, almost 40, I’ve never been more committed to practicing every single thing I teach.
Strength. Movement. Stillness. Breath. Discipline. Honesty. Not as a brand — as a way of surviving, healing, and evolving.

Om Strong isn’t yoga.
It isn’t fitness.
It’s a remembering.

A remembering of the body’s wisdom. A remembering of the nervous system’s capacity to heal. A remembering of the strength that comes from showing up — especially when life feels impossible.

If you’re here, you’re not looking for surface-level wellness. You’re looking for something real — something that meets your body, mind and soul at the same depth you feel life.

Welcome.
We rise, we drop, we breathe, we feel — together.

Strong Body. Clear Mind. Steady Heart.

Movement is how we come home to ourselves - and take our power back.
